THE AMERICAN OUTLAWS

Communications and Special Projects
June 2013 - Current
DIGITAL MEDIA MANAGER/CONTENT CREATOR
As the head of communications for the organization I am responsible for crafting our messaging and voice for our digital channels across a variety of platforms to keep our members informed and engaged in the conversations surrounding American soccer and the U.S. National Teams.
EVENT PLANNING/EXECUTION
Organized and executed hundreds of events for U.S. Soccer fans across the United States and abroad. Engaged fans in real-time to create authentic connections and grow membership.
2015 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP
As the head of the Women's National Team branch of American Outlaws I coordinated ticketing (with FIFA Women's World Cup Local Organizing Committee), fan events, and media coverage throughout Canada during the summer of 2015. Was also AO liaison to U.S. Soccer.

"If I had to pick something concrete {a signal of success that could be sustained... that the tide had turned for women's soccer}, though, I think I'd go with an event that I learned about while doing the interviews for this story: the moment when Dan Wiersema became a high-ranking official with the American Outlaws.' - Jonathan Tannenwald, The Philadelphia Inquirer
#HEREFORTHEFUTURE CAMPAIGN
Following the failure of the Men's National Soccer Team to qualify for the 2018 World Cup our #HereForTheFuture campaign collected notes and scarves from American Outlaws members and fans to deliver messages of optimisms to a new generation of players that emerged to lead the team.

Through social media we collected the well-wishes, designed cards for each member of the roster and in cooperation with U.S. Soccer placed them and an AO scarf in each players' locker prior to their first post-World Cup match versus Brazil in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Many players posted messages of gratitude through their social media channels.
MEDIA RELATIONS
During tenure with American Outlaws I have coordinated media coverage and participated in interviews with a variety of international, national and local media from TV to print to radio to digital platforms. See list and links of my media/public relations for AO and other organizations.
